Labrador Retriever(also Labrador, or Lab for short) is a well known dog breed. Labradors have been kept by humans since a long time because they are even tempered and well behaved. It was hunters favorite dog in the past.

  • Labradors are divided into two types, the English and the American Labrador.

  • Some Labradors can also have green or greenish-yellow eyes.
  • The ears of the Labrador are average sized. They are hanging downwards and a shape like a pendant.
  • The tail is thick and is completely covered with short hair. The feet are muscular and strong enough to pick up the body weight.

  • Labradors are normally healthy breed with relatively few major health issues. They suffer from prone to hip and elbow dysplasia.
  • Life span of Labrador is usually about 10-12 years.
